To kick off this series, we’re excited to share the stories of Fixtured’s three co-founders. We may support different teams, but we’re united by a shared passion for sports and a mission to make following sports schedules effortless.

What teams and competitions do you have in your watchlist? Can you share the story behind this selection?

My watchlist has teams from places I’ve lived. I’m French, so football’s big—Lorient FC is my local club, Arsenal’s my Premier League team, and I don't miss a game from the France national side—especially during major tournaments. Watching Zidane beat Brazil in ‘98 as a kid got me started. Then I moved around. Living in Australia added rugby, and Toronto made me a Maple Leafs fan—I got into the team there and learned what it’s like to follow hockey! I love how much impact sport has in different countries around the world.

Now, living in New York, I root for the Knicks and the Mets. They’re the local teams, and I love going to games. On the NFL side, I follow the Bengals and Detroit Lions—friends pulled me into those, and it keeps the conversations going. The Spurs are there too, because Tony Parker and Wemby feel like home. French handball and rugby sneak in as well. It’s messy, but it’s me.

How has Fixtured changed how you follow your favorite teams or leagues?

Before Fixtured, I had trouble keeping up. I’d set aside 3 PM for Champions League or wake up at 7 AM for Arsenal, but I’d still miss games. I built Fixtured because I was tired of losing track. Teams in Europe, Australia, and North America made it tough with time zones. I created Fixtured to fix that. Now, I check it and see when Lorient plays, when the Spurs are on, or if the Maple Leafs have a game. Living in the US, I can follow sports from Paris to Sydney easily. It helps me plan—like watching an early French rugby match. It works for me.

What’s your favorite feature on Fixtured, and why?

The game sheet—it’s close to my heart. This one was a aha! moment for the team. Seeing our branded cards for each game pop up full screen on your phone feels like you’re right in the action. You get the event details—team logos at the top, but most importantly, the time, day, and channel right front and center. That’s what we work for at Fixtured: showing you what you need most, exactly when you need it. We’ve started adding more there too, like team form, standings, and a way to share the game. Fans asked for these, and as a product designer, I love talking to people, hearing their ideas, and building them in. We’ve got big plans for it, but that full-screen, branded game sheet? It’s something I’m always excited to see.

What advice would you give to a new user getting started with Fixtured?

Try the team filter first—pick your teams and check their schedules. It’s an easy start. Then use the share button: send a game to friends and watch with them. That’s what I do. Make it fit you—some follow 2-3 teams, others more. Look around—you might find a new game to watch!

Any new sport, team, league or feature you'd love to see on Fixtured?

Squash, for sure. The team hears me bring it up every week—I know we’re close! I played it growing up and still follow the PSA World Tour closely. I’d love to add any sports fans care about too—it’s what drives me. For features, anything that helps you know what to watch, when to watch it, and connect with like-minded sports fans is something I want to keep working on. It’s all about keeping that feeling alive.
